Spec Solutions is a consulting company for services provided by Gáspár Nagy and partners. Gáspár is a coach, trainer and bdd addict. He is the creator of SpecFlow and Reqnroll, the most widely used BDD framework for .NET.
Our mission is to help teams to adopt agile development and testing practices, improve efficiency of teams using agile methodologies and particularly behavior driven development and to maintain and support the open-source testing framework SpecFlow and Reqnroll.

BDD

BDD (Behavior-driven development) is a software development process that combines and multiplies the power of different agile techniques like test-driven development, domain-driven design, specification by examples and agile testing. It enforces a true ownership of the product, an active collaboration on the solution and a direct automation of the requirements.

  • Specflow course was really useful to us.

Specflow course was really useful to us, serving as a foundation to our BDD framework. We have started implementing BDD and it wouldn’t have been possible without this course.

Henna Ashraf, Software Test&Release Manager, Vanquis Bank (UK)

  • I’d definitely recommend Gaspar and this course.

Gaspar delivered a 3 day BDD/SpecFlow course to our team. The 1st day was aimed at the whole team (e.g. incl. Product Owners) and provided a good introduction to BDD: solid presenting, good course material and useful group interaction. The next 2 days were concerned with more practical, technical elements of BDD and SpecFlow, and included a good balance of technical details, best practice, philosophical issues and practical exercises. For example, we looked at long term issues and questions around scale. I’d definitely recommend Gaspar and this course.

  • Gaspar delivered SpecFlow training to around 70 staff…

Gaspar delivered SpecFlow training to ca. 70 staff at 3 of our sites. The very well received course’s helped us spread BDD as a practice throughout the business unit. Our staff appreciated this practice-led course & Gaspar based the agenda on individual user needs. Q&A sessions were also excellent – he’s a very experienced guy.

Chris Stephens, Principal Software Evaluation Architect at Waters Corp. (USA)

  • …always taken from actual experience and suggestions extremely practical.

Gaspar’s explanations were impeccable, examples – always taken from actual experience and suggestions extremely practical.

  • Gaspar held 3 days of great workshops addressing advanced topics…

Being a development organization practicing BDD with Specflow for 3 years we wanted to get even better at it. Gaspar held three days of great workshops addressing advanced topics on how to effectively elaborate needs expressed as user stories to specifications as well as the inner workings of SpecFlow and how to automate and govern test code. To take these workshops to improve its practices is certainly something I would recommend an organization that has been practicing BDD with SpecFlow for a while to do.
